Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC midfielder Salifu Ibrahim has made a decision to switch allegiance to Benin, after failing to secure a call up to the Ghana national men’s team, Black Stars.
The talented left-footer has been ignored by Ghana since his days with Ghanaian giant’s Accra Hearts of Oak SC, leading to decision to seek refuge elsewhere. He’s officially completed a switch to Benin, expected to receive a call-up to the Benin national team in the next squad announcement.
Currently, Salifu popularly known as Di Maria ply’s his trade in the Kosovo superleague with FC Drita. He’s side sit 3rd on the league log with Salifu Ibrahim netting just once to help.
He is 25-years old, born in Abofour in the Ashanti Region and had his youth career with UniStar Academy before joining former Ghana Premier league side Techiman Eleven Wonders FC then to Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak SC where he left to Kosovo.
