The Ghana Football Association Referees Committee on Friday confirmed the appointment of young FIFA referee Reginald Collins Amoah for Ghana’s version of El Classico. The encounter will have Accra Hearts of Oak SC welcome bitter rivals Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra sports stadium tomorrow Sunday.
Ahead of the crunchy encounter, Public relations officer(PRO) for Asante Kotoko SC China Circles Martin Tawiah has send strong caution to the official, having noticed his performance in matches involving Accra Hearts of Oak SC, citing recent game between Bechem United FC and Hearts of Oak SC, then against Vision FC.
In an interview with Mothers TV, Martin Tawiah urged the referee to be firm and not bias towards Asante Kotoko SC, since his performance has always channelled out to be a good one for Hearts of Oak SC.
“We have monitored his matches, he is good. Officiating CAF matches and local league matches but in recent times games involving Hearts of Oak has seen them on a better side”
“Reginald officiated Vision FC against Hearts we saw what happened. Against Bechem United FC too we witnessed it” What we are saying, is he’s decisions on the field should not warrant cheat rather fairness”, Martin said.
Reginald Collins Amoah was in charge of this years President Cup, also handled the GHALCA Top 4 super clash at Legon.
He secured appointment for AFCON U-17 tournament this year, also got selected for the CAF young talent course.
