Asante Kotoko SC trainer, Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey has lamented on communication issue with his Guinean striker Donzo Morifing despite securing them Super clash bragging right.
The Reds on Sunday evening secured a 1-0 narrow victory over bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier league first super clash at the Accra Sports stadium. It was Donzo Morifing delivering Kotoko all three points after converting calmly a goal from the spot following an infringement on Peter Amidu in the box.
Donzo strike against the Phobias marked his first goal in the ongoing campaign but after the encounter saw head coach Karim Zito lament on issues he has with the attacker at post match.
Zito disclosed that he does not comprehend French so during matches it becomes difficult to communicate with the Guinean forward.
“Donzo has problem of language, I can’t engage him with communication faster”
“My biggest challenge with Donzo is the language barrier. My French isn’t very good, so it’s difficult to communicate with him during matches.”
“But I think, as time goes on we will get there”, Zito added.
Donzo joined Asante Kotoko SC this season on a two year deal and have yet to make a stay in the team despite absence of Albert Amoah and injury worries of Kwame Poku but delivering all points for his outfit might be the starting point.
