Head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Abdul Karim Zito says his outfit remains focus to clinch the 2025/26 Ghana Premier league title despite drawing goalless away with FC Samartex 1996.
Zito believes their quest for the title has not shifted and thinks drawing away isn’t worrying rather losing at home and since that did not happen, their quest for the title is still alive.
Kotoko got held to a 0-0 draw in week 11 fixture on Sunday by Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, leaving them 4th on the log with 20 points just 3 points behind Aduana Stars FC.
“Apart from being the first, no position fits Asante Kotoko”
“We are still chasing and it’s not too late”, Zito said after FC Samartex game.
“Its only when we draw at home that it pains me because I have to go and win away to balance the home games”.
Asante Kotoko SC still remains unbeaten in the 2024/26 Ghana Premier league after week 11 but has an outstanding game against Basake Holy Stars FC scheduled Wednesday November 26, 2025.
They will return to Baba Yara Sports stadium to host Medeama SC in week 12 fixture.
