Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has shared his thoughts on the Black Stars’ group for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, describing it as “tricky” but expressing confidence in the team’s ability to advance.
Ghana have been drawn in group L along with England, Croatia, and Panama.
Speaking after the draw, Gyan said the group presents challenges, but the national team remains determined to push through.
“It’s a tricky group but we will do our possible best to qualify from the group stage,” he said.
Gyan, who remains Africa’s all-time top scorer at the World Cup, has been a strong advocate for the Black Stars’ preparations and believes the team can rise to the occasion with the right mindset and support.
The Black Stars will soon begin the next phase of preparations as the countdown to the 2026 World Cup intensifies.
