Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has expressed disappointment following his side’s 1-0 away defeat to Hohoe United on Sunday.
The manager noted that indiscipline first-half performance and recurring attacking struggles cost the Reds valuable points.
“I’m disappointed. I warned them that they shouldn’t wait to concede before they come into the game. We were tactically indisciplined in the first half. The second was better, but putting the ball in the net was another matter. Actually, that’s our main problem this year,” Zito said after the match.
“We didn’t do well in the first half but the second half was better, “ he added.
The loss marks Kotoko’s second defeat of the season and extends their winless run to four matches, having managed just one victory in their last six outings.
Despite the dip in form, the Porcupine Warriors remain fifth on the league table with 21 points, five behind leaders Medeama.
With the title race tightening, Zito and his squad face growing pressure to rediscover consistency as the season enters a crucial phase.
