Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Abdul Karim Zito has hit back at Journalists for criticising him unnecessarily.
He openly blast sections of the media for criticising when he lamented on injury concerns of his team. Kotoko has being struggling to deal with occurrence of injury concerns since start of 2025/26 Ghana Premier league season.
The side has being dealing with over 12 player injuries, hence their inconsistent performance this season.
After Kotoko 1-0 narrow home victory over Dreams FC, Zito expressed frustration at what he described as unfair scrutiny of his explanations, particularly regarding the availability of players. Hitting at the media for dismissing his concerns on injuries.
“Some of you are putting pressure on me,” Zito told the media. “If Guardiola tells you that Rodri is injured, you’ll say it is okay. But if I, Karim Zito, tell you I have 13 players injured, you say it is not okay… Well, that is between you and your God.”
The Porcupine warriors have struggled to maintain momentum, making their victory over Dreams FC a hard-earned one.
They now sit 3rd on the log with 24 points, three points behind league leaders Aduana Stars FC.
