Sudan national team head coach Kwesi Appiah has reaffirmed his side’s determination to fight for national pride at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, vowing to raise the Sudanese flag on Africa’s biggest football stage.
Since taking charge, Appiah has overseen a remarkable upward trajectory for the Falcons of Jediane, instilling belief, discipline, and renewed ambition within the squad.
The Ghanaian tactician revealed that his players arrived in Morocco in high spirits following their participation at the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar, with preparations for the tournament progressing smoothly both on and off the pitch.
“We arrived safely from Qatar after taking part in the FIFA Arab Cup. We found the atmosphere in Morocco to be excellent. The hotel is good, everything is good, and the same applies to transportation and accommodation. Everything is excellent. Appiah told CAFonline.
“We are in a strong group with Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Burkina Faso. Sudan is also a good team, and I am confident that we will progress beyond the group stage in this tournament. well prepared for the competition, and we hope to present ourselves in the best possible way during the finals.
“The tournament is very tough, and we must fight, fight, and fight in our matches, while preparing the team both mentally and physically. All Sudanese people are urging the players to enjoy themselves. This team must fight and give everything it has to make the people happy”. He concluded.
