Medeama Sporting Club have been fined GHC 10,000 and issued a warning by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee following misconduct in the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.
According to an update on GFA regulatory actions, the Tarkwa-based club was found guilty after their league match against Young Apostles FC.
The committee ruled that Medeama failed to ensure that their players’ jerseys properly displayed names above the squad numbers, a requirement under league regulations.
The breach attracted both a financial penalty and a formal warning, with the GFA stressing the need for strict adherence to competition rules.
Medeama SC have been given fourteen (14) days from the date of notification to pay the fine, as stipulated in the decision.
The sanction serves as a reminder to all clubs participating in the Ghana Premier League to comply fully with matchday regulations to avoid disciplinary measures.
