Defending champions Asante Kotoko SC showed their resilience and determination to win the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup title with a resounding victory over regional rivals King Faisal FC on Wednesday.
The Reds with a 1-0 victory, humbled the Insha Allah Boys who proved to be a difficult side at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports stadium in the MTN FA Cup round of 32 fixture. With Dauda Saaka’s first half strike, coach Abdul Karim Zito’s outfit progress to the next stage of the competition.
The local and Regional derby highlighted the high profile rival amongst the two clubs but King Faisal were not equipped enough to stand the pace and tempo of host Asante Kotoko SC.
