Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed confidence and excitement after completing his move from Bournemouth to Manchester City, insisting his best football is still ahead of him as he prepares for a new chapter at the Etihad Stadium.
The Ghanaian, who sealed his switch to the Premier League giants, believes he can make a significant impact as City push on in multiple competitions during the second half of the season.
“My best football is yet to come, I am sure of that. And City are in a great position – still involved in four competitions. I really feel I can help them have a strong second half of the season,” Semenyo said.
The 26-year-old also spoke warmly about settling into his new environment, describing the Etihad as his new home and expressing eagerness to play in front of the club’s supporters.
“The Etihad is my new home. I can’t wait to play in front of the fans here and I hope to show everyone what I can do,” he added.
Semenyo’s move marks a major step in his career and is a significant boost for Ghanaian football, with the Black Stars attacker joining one of Europe’s elite clubs.
He is the third top scorer in the Premier League this season with 10 goals.
Manchester City will be hoping his pace, power, and versatility in attack add extra firepower as they chase success on all fronts.
