Ghanaian heavyweight Asante Kotoko SC will be without three of their integral members, when the 2026/27 league season starts.
A confirmation made by head coach Abdul Karim Zito reveals, the Reds will lose a player at the goalkeeping department, defends and attack. Goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, Peter Acquah Amidu and Samba O’Neil will depart the club following the expiration of their respective contracts.
Amidu joined from PAC Academy in 2023, signing three year contract whiles Samba signed a two year dear in July 2024.
Camara joined Asante Kotoko in July 2024 on a two-year deal from Académie SOAR, becoming a key player.
The aforementioned players are key to Abdul Karim Zito’s side but declined contract renewal despite several engagements, hence will all depart Asante Kotoko SC when the 2025/26 league campaign elapse.
Karim Zito during media engagement said, is true they will leave but has them till end of season.
“Yes, I have them till end of season and am okay. Nobody knows what is beyond this door, only God”.
The Porcupine Warriors are gunning for the double this season, with contention on both the Ghana Premier league and FA Cup.
Asante Kotoko SC, currently sit 3rd on the Premier league standings with 30 points after 17 matches and also qualified to round 16 of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup.
