Head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Abdul Karim Zito has being summoned by disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for allegedly breaching code of conduct.
The Ghanaian gaffer is charged for putting the name of game (football) into disrepute after getting involved in after match banter with match officials, following their league match against Bibiani GoldStars SC in Bibiani last week.
According to GFA disciplinary committee, Karim Zito cited violence and misconduct hence breaching article 12(1)(I) of the GFA disciplinary code 2019.
Zito’s action exhibited after the game, which Kotoko was denied an obvious goal is an unsporting behaviour towards the match officials of the said game, hence faces charges.
Coach Zito will today Wednesday 21 January, 2026 appear before the panel of committee to respond to the charges.
