Asante Kotoko National Supporters Chairman, Solomon Fosu Ware, has admitted that the club will have a tall order to claim the upcoming Super Clash.
He, however, expressed strong confidence in the Porcupine Warriors to get the much needed win over firing Hearts of Oak, despite the club’s recent struggles.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, Fosu Ware acknowledged the difficult period Kotoko are going through, urging supporters to remain loyal and united.
“If you enjoyed the better days, you must endure the bitter days as well. Whatever anyone is saying, I accept it. The team is not for the players, management or the technical team. They will all leave at the end of their turn, but the team belongs to the supporters,” he said.
He stressed that fans have a major role to play in the club’s recovery, calling for collective effort to help restore Kotoko to winning ways.
“We have to help in making the team better, so we can all enjoy again,” he added.
Despite admitting the challenge that lies ahead, the supporters’ chief was unequivocal in his belief ahead of the Super Clash.
“It will be difficult, but we will beat them,” he declared.
Kotoko won the reverse fixture in Accra and will be looking to do the double over their arch rivals.
Kotoko have one just one of their last six matches while Hearts of Oak are unbeaten in their last four.
