Ahead of Monday’s crucial encounter between Police Nationals FC and UCC Youngsters FC in the 2025/26 Division One League week 19, head coach of Police Nationals Mustapha Fudail has hinted the side is poised for victory and nothing more.
According to him, the season has not being smooth and one they did not expect but the aim is to push to the end and with that, every game is a decider of their fortune.
The Division One League newcomers have struggled since commencement of campaign, leading to change of technical hands. Sitting bottom of Division One League Zone 2, with 15 points Police Nationals FC is optimistic of turning things around.
With three wins in 6 matches for the former Sekondi Hasaacas FC trainer Mustapha Fudail, since taking over in latter part of December 2025, has sight still set on more victories. Fudail has lost just two in his first 6 games amassing 10 points.
Triumph over UCC Youngsters will ensure 3 straight wins for Police Nationals FC in the ongoing campaign, after snatching victories from Eleven Wise FC and Elmina Sharks but managing a draw away to Ebony FC.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com reporter, ahead of Monday’s epic encounter Mustapha said; “Keeping the team momentum going at this point is what we hope to do”
“The league is not far gone but we have to work extra hard in this crucial time before getting to the end part where several teams will be wanted”We can’t leave everything to chance we have to show up for every single game”.
“The team is capable and we’re prepared for the game Monday. Police Nationals is going all out for a win, we can’t afford to drop points especially at home”, Fudail ‘Capito’ stated.
A win for Coach Mustapha’s side will boost their relegation escape riot as they currently sits bottom in 18 team league. With four points, Nationals will be in better position to move above the danger zone.
The clash is scheduled for Monday February 16, 2026 exactly 3:00pm at the Tuba Astro Turf.
