Experienced Ghanaian gaffer Abdul Karim Zito is set to make a short return to the sideline after almost three weeks of leaving his last job.
Karim last managed Asante Kotoko SC where his spell was cut short due to poor run of form. He’s been out of work since exiting Kotoko early this month – February.
He is set to return to the field following engagement with Division One League side FC Ashanti Gold 04.
The former Dreams FC trainer has held talks with the outfit with negotiations far advance to join the side as head coach. Ghanasportspage.com can report that, the contract will last until end of 2025/26 league season and an announcement is imminent could take place by end of week.
The former Ghana U-20 coach spend barely a year with Asante Kotoko SC but won them MTN FA Cup and Toyota Cup.
His vast experience is expected to come life when he takes over FC Ashanti Gold 04 and secure them qualification to the Ghanaian top-tier.
Currently, the Obuasi based outfit sit summit of Division One League Zone 2 with 40 points, just three points better off Ebusua Dwarfs FC who sit second after 22 league matches.
