FC AshantiGold have appointed former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito as head coach on a short-term deal that will run until the end of the current season.
The decision forms part of the club’s efforts to stabilise performances and steer the team to a strong finish as in the third tier division. Zito, known for his vast experience in Ghanaian football and youth development, is expected to bring discipline, structure, and tactical organisation to the side.
The former national youth team coach has built a reputation for nurturing young talents and improving team cohesion, qualities AshantiGold hope will help revive their fortunes in the remaining fixtures.
Club officials believe his appointment will provide the technical leadership needed to guide the team through a challenging period while laying the groundwork for future progress.
Zito is expected to take immediate charge of training sessions as he begins preparations aimed at improving results before the season concludes.
