Asante Kotoko SC are set to renew their fierce rivalry with Accra Hearts of Oak in the third edition of the Democracy Cup, following an official announcement by Parliamentary Service.
According to a statement, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, will officially launch the 2026 Democracy Cup on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Justice D. F. Annan Auditorium within Parliament House in Accra.
The Democracy Cup, an initiative designed to promote democratic values through sports, continues to grow into a symbolic fixture on Ghana’s football calendar—blending governance, national identity, and the passion of the game.
This year’s edition will once again spotlight Ghana’s biggest football rivalry, with Kotoko and Hearts expected to headline the competition in what promises to be a thrilling encounter for fans.
