Ghana Football Association has officially parted ways with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.
The manager has been relieved of his duties following abysmal performances in Ghana’s friendlies against Austria and Germany with the team losing 5-1 and 2-1 respectively.
In a brief statement released by the Association, the decision takes immediate effect, signaling a new direction for the Black Stars following recent developments.
“The Ghana Football Association has parted ways with Head Coach Otto Addo effective immediately,” the statement confirmed.
The GFA also expressed appreciation for Addo’s service during his time in charge.
“The Association wishes to thank Otto Addo sincerely for his contribution to the team and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”
With the coaching role now vacant, the Association indicated that plans are already underway to reshape the team’s technical structure.
“The Ghana Football Association will communicate the new technical direction of the Black Stars in due course,” the statement concluded.
This decision comes amid mounting pressure and uncertainty surrounding the team’s performances, with attention now turning to who will be appointed to lead the Black Stars with less than 75 days to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
