Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has advised the reigning Ghana Premier League champions to guide against complacency in their game against Rail Club du Kadiogo.
The Porcupine Warriors will welcome the Burkinabé side to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday to battle in the return leg of the CAF Champions League.
Going into the game with the upper hand, the former captain who served the team for ten years has advised the Ghanaian giants to put the 1-0 victory they picked in the first leg aside and guide against complacency in the second leg.
“I will urge them to guide against complacency because I’ve experienced it before. We can draw 0-0 and we know we can come and finish it here. Even we can get some scorelines and then finish it at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but there is always a different news in every year. I believe that this time around they will deliver what we are expecting. I spoke with most of the guys and I told them that they should keep in mind we lost in the first leg and coming back to Baba Yara we are going all out to win.
“I believe that the players will guide against complacency and go all out to defend and qualify,” Amos told Ghanasportspage.com.
The GPL giants picked a dramatic win in Benin against the Burkinabé side during the first leg on Monday.
Kotoko will hope to fight for another victory or draw to advance into the next stage of the competition.
