A frustrated Otto Addo took full responsibility for his side after losing to Brazil in their international friendly held in France.
The four times champions of Africa lost 3-0 to the Selecao following an early minutes strike from Marquinhos and Richarlison’s brace in the first half.
The Ghana coach admits he made mistakes, claiming his selection was not a gamble but a decision of complex things.
Ever since the Dortmund deputy manager took charge of Ghana’s job from Milovan after the ACFON, the Black Stars have been treated to many spectacular displays from their team. One of those took place during their game against Nigeria in the World Cup play-offs but the team’s first half performance against the five times world champions on Friday wasn’t good.
In the game against Brazil, Otto Addo played the likes of Amartey and Alexander Djiku at centre-back, instead of trusting his new boys including Salisu and also benching Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey and others.
But he has admitted his mistakes, stating; “My selection was not a gamble. It was a decision of complex things. Line up was good but we had to work harder to close the spaces.
“I think I made mistakes, I learnt a lot more about my players, and picking the next 11 will depend on the performance in the next game,” he stressed.
