Top Phobian has boldly stated that RC Kadiogo can never beat Accra Hearts of Oak in a CAF inter-club competition.
Kwame Opare Addo, who represents the Phobians as their spokesperson, made the comment when the host of Accra-based Original FM’s Super Sports Show, Gideon Okyere Anim Gatusso quizzed him on Kotoko’s performance on the Burkunabé side last weekend.
After claiming a 1-0 victory in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round in Benin, Asante Kotoko came back and lost to the Kadiogo with the same scoreline in Kumasi coming up short with a 1-1 draw in both legs, and losing 3-1 on penalties.
The defeat led Asante Kotoko to a painful exit from the competition and the Phobian believes the Burkunabé side can never be a threat to Hearts of Oak or eliminate them at their home grounds.
“Kadiogo can never eliminate Hearts. It won’t work and it will never happen. Massa forget it.
“For us to beat them 1-0 in away and for them to eliminate us in Accra, it won’t work. Forget it,” Opare Addo divulged.
Hearts of Oak now remains the only Ghanaian club to participate in the CAF inter-club competition.
They will face ASR Bamako in the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup prelims in October.
