Title holders of the Ghanaian top-flight league, Kumasi Asante Kotoko claimed a 2-1 victory over debutants, Nsoatreman FC in their outstanding fixture of the the BetPawa Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Stephen Amankona and Isaac Oppong scored to inspire the home side to their first win in the Ghanaian top-flight league this season after playing a 1-1 draw with Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Philip Ofori of Nsoatreman FC scored a consolation on the 51st minute but it was not enough to split points with the reigning champions.
