Fans of Glorious Accra Hearts of are still waiting to hear the name of their new tactician.
The Rainbows are yet to appoint a new coach since Tuesday. This follows the surprise sacking of Samuel Boadu and his backroom staff after claiming just two points in three games in the just started Ghana Premier League.
Few hours ago, the management of the Rainbows have appointed former Asante Kotoko deputy manager, David Ocloo as their new assistant coach alongside Manchester City-trained Richard Oppong as goalkeepers trainer.
After the appointment of David Ocloo, reports gathered indicates ex-Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum is likely to be named as replacement for Samuel Boadu as talks are still ongoing.
However, the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League winner has finally reacted to the appointment of his ex-assistant.
On his Twitter handle he stated: “Congratulations David on your appointment as Hearts of Oak assistant coach. I wish you all the best.”
With this comment, people believes that Ogum’s appointment as new Hearts of Oak manager will soon be announced.
The 44-year-old is leading the race alongside Samartex and Black Galaxies head coach, Annor Walker to succeed Samuel Boadu.
One of these coaches is expected to be named as the coach of the Rainbows before the league resumes.
