The title holders of the Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko defeated two lower clubs, Mahala Academy and Canaan Football Club in a combined friendly on Thursday.
The games were played at the Porcupine Warriors training ground, Adako Jachie in the Ashanti Region.
Stephen Amankona and Ernest Osei scored twice each as the GPL giants claimed a 4-0 win over Canaan Football Club.
The Porcupine Warriors also put on a show at the same venue, as Dickson Afoakwa scored the team’s only goal in their 1-0 win over Mahala Academy.
It was another day for fitness levels to be tested, as well as a fresh opportunity for some of the players who yet to feature in the club’s fixtures this season.
Coach Seydou Zerbo is aiming to get his team back on form when the suspended league resumes.
They have picked four points in their first two fixtures of the Ghana Premier League as they rank ninth on the league log.
