Coach Seydou Zerbo has delivered his verdict on Kotoko’s humbling of FC Samartex at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Premier League holders were 2-1 winners as Samartex struggled to match their qualities, despite breaking the deadlock in the first half.
Asante Kotoko had come from a 2-0 defeat to Bechem United in mid-week and were looking to get back to the winning ways. And Zerbo insisted his side obeyed his instructions and advice after going down by a goal to nil.
“It is the mentality that changed the game. When we were down the advice that we were given to them was to push until they scored and God been so good we had the second goal, ” he told StarTimes.
“We have this problems. We’ve been having opportunities, creating chances but converting it has become something that is difficult to us so what I told them was to push hard, when you get the chances relax and then play your normal ball. That’s what they did and we had the two goals.”
Coach Seydou Zerbo will hope to beat Medeama SC in Tarkwa in week six after today’s comeback win.
They sit at the third place on the league table with ten points.
