After a short-term break for the World Cup, the Phobians trickled back to their training facility in Pobiman on Monday to kick off preparations for their away fixture against Nsoatreman FC in the BetPawa Premier League.
The reigning FA Cup champions will have several sessions this week before the league resumes.
Benjamin Yorke, Eric Esso, Salifu Ibrahim, Linda Mtage, Junior Kaaba, and Glid Otanga reported for today’s training.
However, there were a number of key players not included. Gladson Awako, Suraj Seidu, Caleb Amankwaa Dennis Korsah, Amankwa Baafi, and Obeng Jnr were absent.
The remaining squad members will join on Tuesday to prepare for their trip to Nsoatre in the Bono Region.
David Ocloo led the team in the absence of Slavko Matić. The Serbian tactician who left Ghana after their 2-2 stalemate against Dreams FC is expected to arrive on Wednesday.
Hearts of Oak will face newly promoted side, Nsoatreman in Nsoatre on December 31 and Bechem United ten days later, before fixtures against Samartex and Medeama in January.
