The BetPawa Premier League is set to resume a day after the ongoing World Cup in Qatar and will continue from matchday 9.
The 2022/23 Premier League season is on pause now for this winter’s biggest football competition in the Gulf.
The Qatar World Cup began on Sunday, November 20 and will end on December 18.
Both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will return to Premier League action on December 21. The title holders who are currently found at the third position with 14 points will take on Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports while Hearts of Oak face Nsoatreman FC in an away fixture.
Before heading to the international break, Seydou Zerbo’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat to RTU in Tamale but the Rainbows were held to a 2-2 stalemate with Dreams FC in Accra.
Hearts of Oak rank fifth on the table with 13 points. They are unbeaten in five league games under Slavko Matic.
