Asante Kotoko defender, Christopher Nettey is close to leaving the Porcupines to join Hearts of Oak, according to a report.
Nettey has been linked to Hearts of Oak and is set to join as a free agent when his contract expires on December 31st, Ghanasportspage.com understands.
The right-back is expected to extend his contract with the GPL holders but the interest from the Rainbows may see him make the switch in January, once his terms with Kotoko expire.
It is believed that ex-Kotoko deputy coach, David Ocloo who currently works as the assistant manager for the Phobians is in talks with the 24-year-old defender who has picked up as one of the best defenders in the league.
The potential arrival of Nettey at Hearts could cast pressure on Samuel Inkoom and Fatawu Mohammed.
Nettey has been an integral member of the Porcupine Warriors since joining the club in December 2019.
He has made only one appearance for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League this season and failed to feature in seven games due to injury.
Nettey made his Ghana debut in November 2020 in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications doubleheader against Sudan.
