Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has sensationally revealed how his career will be saved if he leaves Hearts of Oak.
Fatawu seem pretty happy following the news that he’s been asked to find a new club despite having a running contract with the Phobians which will run till 2023.
He sensationally revealed it will help him to face a new challenge and reshape his career.
“They are yet to tell me the reason why I have to leave. The only thing they told me is the coach. He is the boss and it is better for me to leave if he has no plans for me.
“I’ve played just one game this season. It’s bad to always sit on the bench as a professional who dreams high.
“This news is paving a way for a new place and to face a new challenge so that I can get more playing time. It will help me to save my career and achieve my dream,” Fatawu in an interview with Ghana’s leading website, Ghanasportspage.com.
The former RTU defender has failed to nail starting spot under new coach, Slavko Matic.
The center-back lost his position to Samuel Inkoom in the middle of the 2021/22 season and has still struggled to make the cut into the team’s starting eleven following the arrival of the Serbian tactician.
He is among the players who have been instructed to leave the club in January.
He joined the club from RTU and has appeared as one of the long-serving players at the club, winning five titles after ten years.
