The Rainbows are in the market for new players to boost their squad, but Coach Slavko Matic insists that it has to be the right players.

The Serbian tactician has started his Hearts of Oak rebuild without defeat, but more morphing of his squad is needed before they can compete for the league title.

The team has been linked with a host of players who could join them in January.

They have already begun talks to sign Razak Kassim.

The Rainbows have reportedly not to give up hope of signing the Olympics’ midfielder and planning to make a lucrative offer to sign the Black Galaxies player.

They are also in race for the services of Jonah Attuquaye from Legon Cities, ex-GPL top scorer, Diawisie Taylor and free agent Maxwell Abbey Quaye. They are the better known players the team is expected to work with.

Four of their players, Mohammed Alhassan, Fatawu Mohammed, Daniel Kodie and Junior Kaaba have been informed to find a new club.

However, reports claim their star boy, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh could leave for a new club in January. His contract with the Accra giants will expire at the end of the year.

And with this going to happen, the management have intensified their search for new signings to boost their squad as they hunt for 22nd GPL title.

Hearts of Oak are having a good run in the ongoing campaign under Coach Slavko Matic and are looking to bolster their squad by bringing new players to keep their hopes of winning the league alive.

They currently rank third on the league table with 16 points, 1 point behind their bitterest rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
