Nana Kofi Babil has returned to Medeama Sporting Club after just two years in Slovenia.
Babil joined Austrian Bundesliga side SCR Altach on a loan deal following a spectacular performance for Medeama Sporting Club in the Ghana Premier League and made only three senior appearances in all competitions for the Austrian outfit
SCR Altach had a buy-out clause of 100,000 Euros in the loan deal but opted not to trigger it and sent the player back to the Ghanaian club.
Babil was one of the brightest young players in the Ghana Premier League last year before he headed to Austria.
Slovenian side NK Aluminij signed the player from Medeama in 2021 after his loan deal with the Austrian side was not agreed on. The player signed two-year contract as he passed his medical examination.
The highly-rated youngster extended his stint with Medeama for two more years before making the move to Slovenia.
Babil was impressive in the Ghanaian top flight in the 2019/2020 campaign where he scored 4 goals in 12 matches.
According to reports, the player is back with the Tarkwa-based club and is in contention to feature for the mauve and yellow in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
He is making a return to Medeama due to the team’s poor goal-scoring form this season.
Medeama Sporting Club signed him before the start of the 2019/20 league season from lower-tier side Charity Fc.
