Asante Kotoko has expressed its desire to secure the services of Former Medeama SC Midfielder.
Rashid Nortey has left Medeama SC after six years following the expiration of his contract and the defending league champions have shown interest in pinning him to Kumasi.
The 27-year-old made over 60 appearances for the Tarkwa-based club, opting against renewing his contract, having joined them in 2017.
Despite not winning the league title with Medeama, he has enjoyed some highs at the club.
Asante Kotoko are looking to increase their squad depth and have identified the dynamic midfielder as the missing link in their midfield and hopeful of securing his signature to form the midfield trio of Richard Boadu, Justice Blay and Nortey himself. A trio that made Medeama a team to reckon with two seasons ago.
His impressive performance with the club earned him a national team call up in 2020 by former Black Stars Coach CK Akonnor.
