Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak have signed former Tema Youth captain, Francis Adjetey after turning down Sylvester Appiah’s move.
Sylvester’s move to the FA Cup holders has been officially called off with reasons yet to be explained.
Adjetey, who captained the Harbour Boys in their last Premier League appearance before leaving the shores of Ghana to play outside has agreed on a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Phobians, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm.
He is a central defender who will give manager Slavko Matic options at the back alongside Samuel Inkoom, Caleb Amankwaa, Konadu Yiadom and Korsah.
Hearts of Oak are still looking at bringing in new faces to bolster their team for a season where their only realistic chance of winning a trophy is the Premier League.
Francis Adjetey has also played for lower-division side Ebony FC.
The Rainbows have already added Kwabena Anane, Appiah Clinton, Hamza Mohammed, a Cameroonian forward, and Eonde Albert to their squad.
