Ghana Premier league side Karela United are set to appoint former Hearts Of Oak coach as an assistant coach of the club.
Karela united recently confirmed the signature of former Real Tamale United coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko, replaced Bismark Kobi Mensah as head coach of Ghana Premier League side.
According to a close source to Ghanasportspage.com, former Hearts Of Oak and Auroras head coach Edward Nii Odoom will join the passioners as an assistant coach to Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko.
Coach Edward Nii Odoom was demoted to take charge of the Hearts of Oak youth team following the appointment of Kosta Papic as the team’s new first-team head coach two seasons ago.
After failing to win any of his first two matches in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League games, he was directed to keep focus on the youth team.
Since politician Haruna Iddrisu acquired shares in the team, results haven’t been forthcoming. Karela United are fourth from bottom in the Ghana Premier League table with 19points.
