Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko succumbed to a 2-0 defeat against Dreams FC on Sunday, which means that the Porcupine Warriors are winless in their last six away games going into their return leg against Nsoatreman FC on week 18 of the BetPawa Premier League.
The game really is a must-win for Kotoko, who will face Nsoatreman side that is yet to lose at home since their 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak in December last year.
The Premier League newcomers have amassed ten points from their last four games at home. They managed to beat Samartex, Berekum Chelsea, Great Olympics and were held to a goalless draw with Legon Cities.
The Porcupine Warriors have also lost three, and drawn three of their last six away games.
Sunday’s defeat at Dawu leaves Kotoko searching for their first away win after six consecutive away games.
Their last away win came on November 11 as they beat Medeama SC in Tarkwa.
They will hope to break that deadlock when they visit twelfth-placed Nsoatreman FC on Saturday.
