The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) on Thursday 2nd March visited the family of Black Star player Christian Atsu.
Atsu was confirmed dead by his agent after a massive earthquake hit Turkey three weeks ago.
SWAG President, Mr Kwabena Yeboah, on behalf of the Association commiserated with the family of the late Christian Atsu Twasam earlier today and also signed the book of condolence on behalf of SWAG.
Atsu, who represented his country 65 times, played for a number of clubs including Everton, Chelsea, Newcastle in England, and Porto in Portugal. At the time of his tragic death, he was plying his trade in Turkey for Hatayspor
The one-week celebration of the former Chelsea and Newcastle winger is slated on 4 March 2023 at the Adjirnganor astroturf.
