Asante Kotoko will be looking to put the pressure on Legon as they visit the Royals at the El-Wak Stadium this afternoon.
After parting ways with Coach Seydou Zerbo, Abdul Gazale will be leading the Porcupine Warriors as caretaker in the hope they can ease back to winning ways after last Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Medeama SC.
The defending champions of the Ghana Premier League will have to play with a greater sense of purpose and determination against difficult opposition.
Kotoko has not been too impressive on the road, but they can draw some confidence from the win against Samartex 1996 in their last away game. They lost 2-0 to Medeama SC at home over the weekend.
Asante Kotoko played out a 1-1 draw with Legon Cities in the first leg of this season’s Ghanaian top-flight. Steven Mukwala is back from international duty with Uganda and on the bench. Striker Isaac Oppong is also on the bench whilst Brazillian International Matheus De Souza is starting. Eric Serge Zeze, John Tedeku, and Richmond Lamptey are all in Gazale‘s starting XI against Maxwell Konadu’s ‘Royals’.
Below is the confirmed lineup paraded by Abdul Gazale:
Frederick Asare
Augustine Agyapong
John Tedeku
