Dreams FC have reached their first ever final in the MTN FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Sky, thanks to first half goals from Simba Sylvester and Ali Huzaif.
Despite the team’s poor run in the Premier League, they are seeking to make history by lighting their first major title and represent Ghana in Africa.
It was a historic afternoon for Karim Zito’s side after scoring two goals in the space of nineteen minutes to snatch a conformable lead. Simba broke the deadlock on the 3rd minute before Ali Hazaif’s 19th minute strike.
Sky FC also turned things around to mount pressure on Dreams FC but the Dawu-based club kept their bid for historic FA Cup final firmly, with goalkeeper Agbesi denying the DOL side a chance to score from the spot.
However, any frustrations were short-lived as Sky FC managed to pull one back through Eric Antwi before break but his goal couldn’t prevent them from slipping out of the competition.
Dreams FC will now face the winner from the game between Nsoatreman FC and King Faisal in the final stage of the competition.
