The BetPawa Premier League 2022/23 seasons end today – and we were with you every step of the way, keeping you updated on all the actions from the nine league centres.

Today’s fixtures will wrap up some matters at both ends of the table.

All eyes will be on Medeama Sporting Club as they aim to break the Western region’s 46-year GPL curse this afternoon.

The Tarkwa-based club, who drew goalless with Samartex on week 33 are 3 points ahead of second-placed Bechem United, who are also looking to win their first-ever league title.

The current situation means the ‘Yellow and Mauve” could win the title on the final day if they draw or defeat Tamale City FC at home.

Aduana Stars, who stayed on top of the league table for a long time are now out of the title race after losing 2-1 to Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.

The Ogya Boys are winless in five games (two draws and three defeats).

However, four teams including Hearts of Oak will go into the final round of games of the season looking to avoid relegation.

Kotoku Royals, who qualified to the elite division for the first time in their history last season, have already said goodbye to the Ghanaian top-flight.

The Akyem Oda-based side suffered from their inability to complete their home venue – forcing the club to adopt the Cape Coast.

Playing away from home accounted for their early exit from the top flight after promises made to the club were unfulfilled.

The Royals shifted between two home venues after adopting the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu during the latter stages of the season.

The Oda-based club lie rock-bottom with 29 points from 33 games with one game to spare.

Elsewhere, King Faisal has also suffered relegation from the Ghanaian league.

The Inshallah Boys, who claimed a 3-1 victory over Legon Cities remain 17th on the league table with 39 points.

Great Olympics are also having a tough season. The Dade Boys host Nsoatreman next Sunday in the knowledge that a win will preserve their status.

All that remains to be decided is who will clinch the league title and the next two teams to join Kotoku Royals.
