Ampem Darkoa Ladies defeated Police Ladies with a 3-1 scoreline to defend the Women’s FA Cup on Saturday.
Police Ladies broke the game’s deadlock in the 62nd minute through Mercy Berko after a goalless 45 minutes of end-to-end action at the Dr. Kwame Kyei’s Sports Complex.
Berko’s goal was erased in the 79th minute courtesy of Ophelia Serwaa Ampnonsah.
Both sides readily exchanged attacks after the equalizer but, with neither able to land a telling blow in normal time, an additional 30 minutes were required.
However, Mary Amponsah scored a brace in extra time, making it 3-1 to seal the victory for Ampem Daroa Ladies FC.
