Former Accra Hearts of Oak captain, Samuel Nzemaba has hit out at some players of the club, who he says are leaking information to the management.
The veteran defender also blamed the board members for the club’s recent slump.
Nzemaba’s outburst followed the club’s abysmal performance in the just ended campaign. Three managerial changes accompanied the Rainbows miserable season, which sees them ending the 2022/23 Premier League at the 12 position.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, the former Hearts captain shared an anecdote from his early years as the captain of the club to explain how the management get inside information from players.
“Some players at Hearts of Oak are informant. They leak information from the training ground to the management.
“I can boldly tell you that the management is behind the team’s downfall. They are destroying the team. I have captained the team before and I know them. They just pretend to love the team and will start managing some players whenever they get the opportunity or secure some position at the club.
“Those players are not good enough to start but some management members will work against the coach if he decides to bench their players. No coach will bench you if you are good player,” Nzemaba stated.
