Bechem United striker, Hafiz Konkoni has revealed the role Alhaji Akambi and Samuel Inkoom are playing in convincing him to join Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Rainbows are exploring the possibility to sign the 24-year-old attacker ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The player has been tracked by the Phobians after the campaign and is ready to join them, Ghanasportspage.com understands.
However, in an interview earlier this week, the player pledged his immediate future to the Accra giants and revealed how the club’s board member, Alhaji Akambi and defender Samuel Inkoom are trying to convince him.
“Yes, we are still negotiating. Alhaji Akambi is playing a key role. He wants me to come and help the team and I feel proud for that. Is not easy for somebody like Alhaji Akambi to contact you always, his calibre…”
ON SAMUEL INKOOM
“Samuel Inkoom is also playing a vital role because he’s been calling me always, telling me about the good works of Accra Hearts of Oak and how the move will help me. He is also doing a good job because is not easy to call me everyday checking at his level. His love for the club and how he talks about the club is something that I cannot understand.
“It is good but let’s see what happens because we’re still negotiating. I can’t really tell now whether I will play for them but there’s an advance talks. Inkoom is doing a great job,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
Hearts of Oak will try to beef up their squad for the upcoming season after enduring difficult campaign in the just ended Premier League.
Hafiz Konkoni, who bagged 15 goals in the league could be the first signing of the club as they hope to solve their striking problems.
