Ghanaian Champions, Medeama Sporting Club have reportedly signed captain of Royal Awudu Issaka Soccer Academy (RAISA FC), Ebenezer Nkrumah in the ongoing transfer.
The 20-year-old right-back has signed a three-year contract with the Tarkwa-based club, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm.
Nkrumah becomes the latest signing of the club following the arrival of Zimbabwean midfielder, Kudakwashe Mahachi.
In a strategic move to bolster their squad for the upcoming 2023/24 football season, the GPL winners are poised to make some significant signings for the CAF Champions League.
Nkrumah is lightning quick, dynamic, powerful, and technically adept.
He mainly plays as a right-back, but can be deployed in the central midfield and defensive midfield.
The talented right-back caught the attention from Medeama after his brilliant performances last season.
He led FC Raisa to finish second in the GARFA Division Two League in Zone 2 during the 2022/23 season and is expected to unveiled in the coming days.
After Medeama’s successful domestic campaign, they aim to make an impact in the CAF Champions League, a tournament in which Ghanaian clubs have faced difficulties recently.
Medeama hopes to replicate their 2016 CAF Confederations Cup success as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
They will host Remo Stars of Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on August 20, 2023 before the return leg in Nigeria.
