Visit: Visiting the Ghana Digital Centers Limited Offices with his coaches and family members on Thursday evening, William Amponsah told this reporter that he was there to show appreciation to the CEO, Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.
The sprinter said his steady rise in life began with the opportunity he gained after winning the 2017 Asante Akyem Marathon which was organised by Hon Baah Agyemang and gave him the opportunity to compete in Dubai as part of his package as the winner.
He noted that the opportunity opened him up to the world by building his confidence, adding that the exposure has served him well.
The Sprinter said the Akyem Marathon competition was where his talent was unearthed, adding that Hon Baah Agyemang has since given him support whenever it’s needed including pushing his visa application through to the US embassy to ensure he enrolls at the Texas University to pursue his dream course.
“I owe it all to Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang who unearthed me to the world in 2017 and for some of us, we know him as a chief supporter to all Ghanaian athletes and sports persons. I am here today to personally present my sportswear to him and thank him as I leave the shores of Ghana 🇬🇭 to pursue my dream master’s program at Texas University”, the sprinter stated.
GDCL CEO: In his succinct remarks, Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang said he was humbled by the show of appreciation by the Marathon Champion.

The CEO blessed the sprinter and urged him not to forget his humble beginning, never to deviate from his roots and concentrate on his study to become the best in the classroom and field.
“As you journey tonight to Texas know that some of us and the whole of Ghana 🇬🇭 would be praying for you as we wish you the best in your endeavour”, Hon Agyemang said.
