Talented Ghanaian teenager of FC Nordsjaelland is set to join French giants Olympique Lyon for the 2023/24 season that has already started.

1.Abedi Ayew from 1st July 1993 to 1st July 1994. The first Ghanaian player to wear the jersey of Lyon is Abedi and he scored 3 goals in 31 games for the French side.
2.Michael Essien from 1st July 2003 to 19th August 2005. Essien played 96 matches and scored 13 goals for Lyon winning the Ligue 1 twice.
3.John Mensah from 21st July 2008 to 17th August 2009. The Rock of Gibraltar played 18 games for Lyon in his only season with them.
4.Elisha Owusu from 23rd February 2017 to 1st July 2019. However , Owusu did not make any appearances for the first team of Lyon.
