Bofoakwa Tano recorded their first victory of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season against Real Tamale United on Friday September 22nd at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
Skipper Saaka Dauda scored a brilliant free-kick in the 14th minute to put the home team ahead before Mohammed Hardi Abdulai equalized for the Pride of the North.
Substitute Stephen Owusu then converted an 89th minute penalty to win it for the home team who are coached by former Ghana international defender Frimpong Manso.
The Sunyani-side are thus undefeated in their first two league games since their return to the country’s top-flight after sixteen years. They drew 0-0 at Great Olympics on the opening day of the week as they are provisionally on top of the league table with 4 points.
