Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential Hopeful Amanda Clinton has called for a fairer 2023 Ghana Football Association Election Process.
“The Ghana Football Association needs to provide the candidates with the necessary information and documents to make their registration easy.
Administratively this disqualification issue could be solved because what does a candidate get after paying for forms for GHC 50,000? These problems can’t be solved.” – Amanda Clinton stated in an interview on Happy FM.
As legal disputes mar the originally scheduled 2023 GFA Elections, Amanda Clinton, a former GFA Presidential aspirant, emphasizes the need for a more equitable electoral process.
These controversies have led to the postponement of the elections due to an injunction filed by King Faisal Babies Football Club.
Additionally, George Afriyie, another GFA Presidential aspirant, currently faces disqualification over issues with one of his endorsers.
While Kurt Okraku is set to go unopposed in the race for the GFA Presidential seat should Afriyie’s qualification still hold, on his part, Afriyie’s legal team is preparing to send the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
