Coach Martin Koopman is excited with the performance of Hearts of Oak striker, Hamzah Issah following his stellar display on Saturday.
The Auroras product was the key man in midweek as Hearts of Oak snatched an important victory over defending champions, Medeama SC.
Hamzah popped up again to get the equaliser for the Rainbows at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, netting from a well-delivered setpiece from Salifu Ibrahim.
His performance certainly turned the most heads. After the match, his manager said he is on the way to make good future for his career.
“For sure, he scored again and he is on the way to make a nice career as a footballer. A lot of things will come in his career. Let’s see where it ended.”
WHAT MARTIN KOOPMAN SAID ABOUT HAMZAH ISSAH AFTER THEIR GAME AGAINST MEDEAMA SC
After Hearts of Oak’s 3-1 victory over Medeama SC, Coach Martin Koopman, drew parallels between young forward Hamza Issah and the legendary Brazilian international Romario following a remarkable performance against Medeama SC.
“It was a pity that Hamzah was sick at half-time. He had a lot of problems with his stomach, every time [he went to] the toilet. I asked, ‘Where is Hamza?’ Again, he was on the toilet, so I needed to change him. But you see the quality of Hamza, he has something from Romario, low on the ground, [and] turns very fast. I like him very much.”
