Ghana’s new boy, Brandon Thomas-Asante scores against Norwich

Ghana International, Brandon Thomas-Asante scored the only goal for West Bromwich Albion against Norwich City in round 24 of the English Championship.

The 24 year-old has received his maiden call-up to the Black Stars after Chris Hughton included his name in the 55 provisional list for the AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast next month.

The game was a close contest in the first half but courtesy an assist from Grady Diangana, the Ghanaian forward broke the deadlock of the game in the 50th minute to give West Brom the maximum points.

Asante is now the top scorer for his team this season in the league bagging in 7 goals. Across all competitions, he has 8 goals and 2 assists this season.

The Black Stars team will assemble in South Africa for pre-AFCON camping and Brandon will be hoping to be part of the final squad to Ivory Coast.
